Their are only two sides of the story to tell about Donald Trump’s reputation and that is all. Many Republican’s, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, believe he is the hope to “making America great again.”
“I feel confident he would help us turn the ideas in this agenda into laws to help improve people’s lives. That’s why I’ll be voting for him this fall,” the House Speaker commented. A lot of truth might be in that as the majority of the House of Representatives is Republican. This is the type of support that Obama never had despite having a much better reputation. Don’t think the Democratic Party hasn’t noticed though.
Ever since announcing that he was running for President, the Democratic Party has been hounding him on a number of issues regarding his reputation. Everything from the way he handles his multi billion dollar industries, international policy, and even his family. However, these claims don’t seem be hurting him as he continues to gain even more and more support.
Unlike many of his predecessors, Trump doesn’t care so much about his reputation. That is because he is targeting a specific demographic. White people in the lower and middle class. Trump is willing to stake his entire reputation on getting their vote. Will it be enough for him to win? Only time will tell.
